Customers often face frustration when they have to navigate multiple platforms to access relevant information about cafes and restaurants. They also have basic needs, such as booking tables, checking seat availability, getting better seats, and splitting bills with friends or colleagues. The lack of a centralized platform for these services hampers the overall dining experience.

  1. One platform: Create a single platform where customers can find information about cafes and restaurants, eliminating the need to visit multiple websites or applications.

  2. Relevant information at fingertips: Provide customers with comprehensive and up-to-date information about dishes, menus, and restaurant details to facilitate informed decision-making.

  3. Seat selection: Allow customers to select their preferred seats in advance, ensuring a personalized dining experience and reducing waiting times.

  4. Bill splitting: Enable customers to easily split bills with friends or colleagues, making the payment process hassle-free and efficient.

Conducted in-depth interviews with eight candidates who frequently dine out. Explored their experiences, pain points, and expectations regarding the restaurant and cafe dining process. These research insights and processes served as the foundation for identifying the core problems and designing an effective solution.

During the ideation phase, I started by creating a user flow and information architecture for Diner. This helped visualize the user journey and organize the platform's structure. I then developed over 50 paper wireframes to explore design possibilities and iterate on the user interface, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience.
